All you need to know about “National Flag Adoption Day”

A flag symbolizes a free country and each free nation around the world has its own flag that represents the country to the rest of the world. The Indian Flag of today is one of those flags that are recognized around the world. On 22 July 1947, a few days before the independence (15 August, 1947) of India from British, the national flag of our country in its present form (tricolour) was adopted during the meeting of Constituent Assembly.  The tricolour refers to Indian Flag that served as the national flag of the Dominion of India( between 15 August 1947 and 26 January 1950) and that of the Republic of India afterwards.
