Suresh Prabhu inaugurates 10th edition of India Rubber Expo 2019

10th edition of India Rubber Expo – 2019was inaugurated in Mumbai by  Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu. The expo is the most anticipated event in the rubber industry’s calendar and was held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Our rubber industry is expected to grow faster and is a truly homegrown industry with profound impacts on global market.

Bihar Government lifts ban on sale of live fish in Patna

Three days after imposing ban on sale, storage or transportation of live fish, Bihar government lifted the ban following a directive from Chief Minister Nitish Kumarafter reports ofrising protests and agitation against the ban by fishermen and vendors selling fish.  As Laboratory tests confirmed presence of high content of formalin and heavy metals like cadmium and lead in the consignments from Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, the ban will continue on sale, storage and transportation of fish from Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal in Patna.


Union Home Minister approves report on use of space technology in border management

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh nods report on use of space technology in border management, the major focus is to fortify border and island security and promote growth of infrastructure in the border and island areas. Operational preparation, border infrastructure development and building capacity in border guarding force to use space resources for security are the important sanctions included in the report. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Department of Space will jointly implement the project.

PM Narendra Modi to launch National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai

National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC), Built at a cost of Rs 140.61 crore, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister NarendraModi) in Mumbai on 19th January. The museum will portray the journey Indian cinema through illustrations, graphics, artifacts, interactive demonstrations and multimedia explanations, in a story telling mode.  The museum has been built in two buildings in in the Films Division campus in Mumbai.

Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Protsahan Yojana achieves milestone of one crore beneficiaries

The flagship scheme of the Union Government for employment generation, known as The PradhanMantriRozgarProtsahanYojana has achieved the milestone of one crore beneficiaries on 14th January.Started on 7th August, 2016, the scheme is being implementedby the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment through the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).
